All of the Flourish events have been useful – there was nothing I didn’t need to know. I remember the programme day at the Frog and Bucket – being with that many incredible women in one room all with their own and own visions – that must have been one of the best days of my life! Hearing the experiences of other people and what they are doing was so inspiring. Since the programme I feel more capable, organised and I do more public speaking now which I hated before.

Support from Flourish has been great. I have made it to most of the events and several other Flourish events and every one of them has been useful with fantastic people to connect with. An extra sounding board has helped me make decisions and move forward and having additional support to help with our EOI for the asset transfer will be really timely – the support with financial planning has been brilliant.

I have dyscalculia and struggle with numbers attending your finance session was the first time I felt confidence and understood what is needed to put together budgets and manage finances. Flourish made it clear, explained it in simple terms and took the fear out of it for me.

The help and contacts has been invaluable and all the extra Flourish support and events has meant we can build wider trust, even make new friends and find people who can come on our board and vice versa. It has been fantastic and really supportive.

Before Time to Grow I knew nothing about the business side but now I know about legal structures and how to form my CIC. All the training materials and webinars were fantastic – really informative. I always come away from Flourish events feeling revitalised. If I had been stuck in my house working alone I would have lost my self-belief.

Flourish have a unique way of taking time to  understand you as  an individual person, your  business and what they are trying to achieve, it’s personal tailor made approach gives you the confidence and drive to succeed. It’s like a one-stop shop, I can ask any question and I know they can help! 

Having a sounding board and the expertise of the range of Flourish associates has been invaluable. Even though I have run my own business, having this knowledge from people who can help make sense of the VCSE sector and adaptations has been great. The support in improving our financial plans is proving to be really helpful and we are making good use of the impact measurement support to strengthen and build on what we have been doing to date. The partnership with Flourish we have developed has been wonderful with our shared values and networks collaborating. Flourish invested in the Crowdfund, have been tenants with us now for over 6 months and have been active in attending and supporting our Wellness Collective too.

Being part of the Flourish community gives you support – it’s so much more than some workshops here and funding there, it’s a sense of reliability and comfort, security and inspiration. The Flourish network is so huge because people don’t want to let go!

I’ve grown in confidence since being a part of Time to Grow. Things I’ve found challenging and been able to overcome this with the one to one and groups support. 

I am seeing myself differently and treating myself as a business woman. I feel validated by Flourish and other people who I’ve met on the course. It’s been a massive confidence boost and helping make my social enterprise goals possible.
