IVF is both a challenging and wonderful topic and one which has impacted many women and families across our networks.

Given we work with so many women and women’s support organisations, we are pleased offer the chance for our networks to voice their views, experiences, needs and suggestions to help improve options, pathways and support in future, backed by the NHS and run by sensitive professionals at Greater Manchester Integrated Health Care Partnership.

Focus groups on:

• 16^th July 2025, 4.30 – 6pm – Altrincham Flourish Hub – Platform 4 Altrincham Interchange, Stamford New Road, Altrincham WA14 1EN. 
  
• 11^th July 2025, 4.30 – 6pm – Heaton Chapel Flourish Hub (above the station) 2 Tatton Road, Heaton Chapel, SK4 4RL

Ready to kick off International Women’s Week with a bang?

We’re beyond excited to invite you to an empowering event that’s all about connecting, learning, and shaping the future together. On 3 March 2025, 10am – 4pm, this event is designed to offer you a chance to grow, both personally and professionally, while celebrating the incredible achievements of women in Greater Manchester from across the globe. Mark your calendars because this is one gathering you won’t want to miss!

Event Highlights:

10 AM: Start your day with a warm welcome as we introduce you to the Altrincham Hub. Discover a space designed to inspire and support your social enterprise journey. You’ll get to meet like-minded individuals and forge connections that could last a lifetime.

10:45 AM: Dive into our Changemaker panel and let the stories of incredible women light up your path as we celebrate International Women’s Week together. Get ready to be inspired by their journeys, challenges, and triumphs. Their experiences will motivate you to take bold steps in your own ventures.

11:30 AM: Contribute your voice and ideas to help shape the future of Flourish. Your insights are invaluable, and we can’t wait to hear from you. This interactive session will allow you to share your thoughts and collaborate on solutions that can make a real difference.

12:30 PM: Take a break, Relax and indulge in a Connection Lunch and Pop-up Spa. Connect with fellow entrepreneurs over a delicious meal and exchange ideas. Plus, treat yourself to some pampering with our Pop-Up Spa treatments available until 4 PM. Relax and rejuvenate with mini treatments, including Indian Head massages, Back/Neck/Shoulder massages, and Mini Manicures.

1:30 PM: We’ll wrap up the formal part of the day with reflections and a closing session. But that’s not all! We’ll also share some exciting announcements and future plans for Flourish Together CIC.

2:00 – 4:00 PM: Stick around for some coworking, networking, and one-on-one drop-ins. Whether you need personal enterprise support, counselling, or holistic therapies, we’re here for you. This is your chance to get personalised advice and support from experts in various fields.

Come for the whole day or just drop in when you can—the choice is yours! The event is free, but if you’re able, we suggest a donation ticket of £9. And don’t miss out on our mini treatments available on the day (Indian Head, Back/Neck/Shoulder, Mini Manicure) for just £10 each. Your contributions will help us continue to support women social entrepreneurs like you.

This International Women’s Day we shine a spotlight on men supporting women as a force for social change.

We’re inviting three panels of men from a range of industries and backgrounds to join us at this free event to discuss how, together, we can make this year’s International Women’s Day theme of “An Equal World is an Enabled World’ a reality.

Jake is co-director of HEART CIC – which delivers healthy emotions and relationships training in secondary schools.

How diverse is your current leadership team – and/or what initiatives are in place that you support?

The leadership team is made up of myself and my wife Kelly Mattison. Hannah Goulding also contributes to delivery and course material decisions and we have another director Shifa Chowdhry.

Diversity is really important to us as we are a company that deliver educational programmes and training courses – we do not deliver to one type of person from one type of background, so experiences from, and contribution from a leadership team that come from a broad demographic, is essential for us to deliver best practice.

What career advice would you give your younger self?

The best career advice I could give to my younger self would be ‘finish things’!

Innovation is only part of the job. I’m still giving myself that advice everyday and dealing with the uncomfortable task of being patient and persist and crossing the T’s.

Have you any role models that have inspired you during your career to date?

I have lots of role models and each for different reasons, most of them seem to have mastered the art of allowing things to happen, not forcing them, being passionate and authentic and enjoying their journey to their goals. I’m working on that and trying to not pay to much attention to negative thoughts regarding potential hurdles in the future.
