At the heart of every movement for meaningful change is someone with a deep passion for justice, fairness, and human potential. This month, we celebrate Sharon Amesu, a trailblazer who has turned her passion for justice into a mission to transform workplaces into spaces where everyone can thrive.
For 16 years, Sharon served as a Criminal Barrister, a career rooted in her profound belief in justice and equality. While Sharon thrived in the legal profession, she realized that true change required more than courtroom victories. To create lasting impact, she set her sights on influencing leadership—those shaping the policies and strategies that govern workplaces.
Today, Sharon is an advocate for workplace equity and inclusive leadership. She works closely with leaders, helping them craft environments where barriers are dismantled and individuals can reach their full potential through workshops, training and speaking engagements.
As the Founder of She Leads For Legacy, Sharon created a community of individuals and organisations to work together to reduce the barriers faced by Black female professionals aspiring for senior leadership and board level positions.
She then co-founded We Lead For Legacy; a high level leadership programme for, both, current and future leaders from racially marginalised communities, brought to you by She Leads For Legacy, Flourish Together and Reform Radio, in partnership with Greater Manchester Combined Authority.
Her belief? By empowering leaders to embrace transformative policies, we can create a ripple effect that fosters fairness and opportunity on a larger scale. As we honor Sharon Amesu as this month’s Changemaker, we’re reminded of the power of leadership to spark transformation.
Here’s to Sharon, a leader who truly embodies the spirit of driving change with both courage and compassion.
