On Wednesday 19th July, Flourish celebrated the official launch of the Flourish Hub, located on the first floor above Heaton Chapel Station. Many people from our fantastic network joined us, including local changemakers, supporters from the voluntary sector and Manchester City Council.
It was brilliant to be joined by so many faces old and new, giving people the chance to catch up and network with community groups and social entrepreneurs from Heaton Chapel, Stockport and across Greater Manchester. Delicious food was provided by Sofra Mcr, Arabian Twilight Cafe and Amazeballz Amazecakez plus we hosted our sister company’s ever-popular Pop Up Spa providing wellbeing and holistic treatments throughout the evening.
The Flourish Hub is part of Action Stations a regeneration project led by the Station Alliance giving community organisations, social enterprises and charities the opportunity to occupy previously unused spaces in stations.
The Flourish Hub has been co-designed in consultation with the community and provides co-working spaces, meeting rooms plus events to support local social ventures to start up and thrive.
Flourish will be rolling out a programme of events over coming months, including Pop-Up Spa Sundays, Flourishing Mondays and Fridays (social venture support days). Full details of all upcoming Hub events can be found on The Hub Eventbrite page).
Membership at The Flourish Hub is just £20/year, giving members access to co-working, room hire, enterprise support and exclusive events – full details here.
The Hub launch comes at an exciting time for Flourish, with Nickala , Flourish’s Founding Director, having been recently awarded Levelling up Leader in the 2023 Northern Power Women Awards. With this year marking a decade of Flourish supporting women changemakers across Greater Manchester, now is the perfect time for Flourish to be opening our own dedicated space.
