Squaring up to Imposter Syndrome
We began our Lunch and Learn series by taking a look at Imposter Syndrome in all its guises. We hear from Dawn Kelly from Actualise Coaching a long with 3 women who talk about their views, perspectives and experiences. As part of our panel Dawn shared this resource which helps people reflect on there being different types of imposter syndrome and an opportunity to pinpoint tendencies you may have: https://www.positiveintelligence.com/assessments/

How Housing and Home Life can Affect Women’s Ability to Flourish
Next, we delved into how housing and home life can affect women’s ability to Flourish, where we talk about the current context for women’s barriers to housing, and how we can potentially mitigate these challenges.
In this event we refer to a consultation we did in partnership with 10 GM for the Greater Manchester Combined Authority which resulted in the ‘Commissioning with Compassion and Conviction’ report which summarises consultation with over 200 diverse women with lived experience and 80 women’s support agencies across Greater Manchester. One of the overarching priority needs for women to reduce mental health issues and / or coming into contact with the need for statutory services, including the criminal justice system was to tackle housing inequalities so that women and families are safer, more secure and can fulfil their potential. See the full report here:
The report contains an appendix with links to over 50 women’s support organisations across Greater Manchester

Putting the Profit Back into NonProfit
This webinar is led by Nickala Torkington, the director of FlourishTogether, and Kat Luckock at Share Impact. Both specialists in supporting social enterprises to develop, grow and be sustainable.
Here, we considered how people have been set back through Covid, where the opportunities are as well as why social entrepreneurs can be notoriously bad at charging their worth.
Plus there are 3 impromptu case studies highlighted where the entrepreneurs behind the following organisations shared their experiences:
PIE Social UK
Visit from the Stork
Beltin Wigan
We also shared details of a couple of reports during the discussion which can be found below:
We are more than happy to #ChoosetoChallenge these topics and others, as well as keep talking and if you are interested to join our wider mailing list for future events email info@flourishtogether.org.uk. Plus if you need practical support in developing a social venture then please get in touch if you need consultancy, mentoring or connections and we will do our best to help.
